Welcome to the second and eagerly awaited edition of rehabdigest. In the first edition, published back in the spring of last year, our aim was to introduce ourselves to those of you that didn't know us, and to stay in touch with those that did. This aim remains the same and so rehabdigest edition 2 continues where edition 1 left off... Again, this is just a snapshot of what's been happening at rehabdesign over the last few months. |
![]() ![]() In each issue of rehabdigest we want to give you the opportunity to find out a little more about us. Juliette's on the couch, ready to face a barrage of probing questions... Full name: Juliette Wills What's your least favourite dessert? Where to start? Tiramisu, creme brulee, sherry trifle, lemon meringue pie. 'Ugh' to all of them in equal measures. What was your first job? Working as a PA to an ad manager at Mirror Group Newspapers. I hated it. Robert Maxwell shouted down the phone at me one day so I put a curse on him, and a few months later he 'fell' off his yacht and drowned. A good telephone manner goes a long way. What do you do when you get writer's block? I clean the kitchen and the bathroom. If it lasts for more than a couple of hours I walk down to the seafront, sit on the pebbles, put my head in my hands and weep uncontrollably until it gets dark. Or think about crisps for a bit. Which well-known phrase do you stand by? 'If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing properly.' But if it isn't worth doing, just make the best of it and run away. What's your first thought upon waking? 'How can it be 4pm already?' Only kidding... it's usually 'Should I have purchased a 'Teasmade' device?' or 'I wonder if a stranger has moved in whilst I was asleep?' What's your claim to fame? Where to start? Back in the late 90s I spent the night at Ant & Dec's. I made an exhaust for Damon Hill's Formula One car when I was reporting on Formula One races for Loaded magazine. I turned down Chelsea's Frank Lampard and have regretted it ever since. I also fell down some steps in front of Liam Gallagher and was refused a kiss from Shakin' Stevens when I was nine. That rejection scarred me for life. In the next issue of rehabdigest Sarah, our young blood designer will be 'In rehab'. rehabdesign™ have designed the brand identity and all printed material for the ‘A picture of health’ campaign for NHS London. ‘A picture of health’ sets out to explain to the residents of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham the options that have been produced to address the issues that are preventing your local NHS from providing better, safer and affordable care. A more in depth explanation can be found on the A picture of health website.
After a successful three way pitch, rehabdesign™ designed the brand identity and a host of promotional material for this years Adult Learners’ Week. Adult Learners’ Week is an annual week-long national campaign organised each May by the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE). It seeks to engage and inspire people to pursue adult learning - either to catch up on skills not learnt at school, to learn for or at work, or to learn for fun.
Continuing our successful relationship with Quid Publishing, we have just completed a few new titles. 'The Best Dance Moves in the World… Ever!' covers everything that you need to know in order to strut your funky stuff. 'This Is Not A Book' is filled with philosophical puzzles that have intrigued the greatest minds, quizzes that reveal the inconsistency of our ideas and moral dilemmas that force us to confront the consequences of our beliefs... phew! 'What Shat That?' is an original and insightful survey of the substance that, like it or not, unites every living creature, from your pet dog to the African elephant.
rehabdesign™ have recently designed the branding for Southwark Health and Social Care’s Stop Smoking campaign. BBC TV ‘Street Doctor’ and resident GP of CBBC Smokehouse, Dr Jonty Heaversedge headed a team of stop smoking advisers hitting the streets of Peckham to find smokers willing to consider stopping smoking and find out more about services that can support them. The campaign was part of the build up to National No Smoking Day. | |
